Landmark Dividend, the leader in ground lease acquisitions, is seeking an enterprising, solutions oriented Senior Accountant to join the Accounting team and oversee accounting for two asset type divisions within a large investment fund.
What You’ll Do
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for all accounting processes within two asset type divisions of a large investment fund, including the month-end close process. You will collaborate with colleagues in the accounting group as well as other internal departments such as finance, legal, and asset management, to ensure processes are working smoothly and information is communicated effectively. Both divisions of this fund are anticipated to continue growing which brings significant opportunity to this role.
Reporting to the Divisional Controller, you will be working as part of a large, cohesive, and knowledgeable team that has decades of collective Big 4 experience. This positive and productive team environment is maintained through effective communication and responsive professional relationships. The group meets regularly, providing updates, receiving support, and offering assistance as required. Applying your conscientious work-ethic, strong interpersonal skills, and desire to learn will allow you to succeed and evolve in this position. This is currently a hybrid remote role (2 days in the office), with the possibility of returning to the office full-time in the future.
Essential Functions:
- Manage the month-end close process including, but not limited to:
Preparing month-end bank reconciliations
Preparing journal entries for various accruals and monthly activities
Reconciling various general ledger accounts, including intercompany
Performing analytical reviews for income statement, balance sheet, disaggregated revenues
- Record investment transactions and maintain equity and capital roll forward schedules
- Assist with cash management process, record wire transfers and help the Divisional Controller with cash reporting and budgeting weekly cash needs
- Record monthly revenue from deals based on revenue recognition standards
- Review and approve proper general ledger coding for applicable accounts payable invoices
- Contribute to development of effective policies and procedures
- Create and maintain all supporting schedules for month-end financial statement packages
- Assist with Year-End audits and supporting schedules as necessary
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other related area
- Thorough knowledge of general accounting principles
- Proficiency using Microsoft applications (Word, Excel-Vlook-up/Sum IF/Pivot Tables)
- Keen attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Well-developed interpersonal skills attuned to maintaining positive working relationships
Preferred
- 1-3 years Big 4 experience with 2-4 years private accounting experience, preferably in real estate or property management environment
- Experience working in a SOX 404 environment
- SEC experience
- Yardi accounting software experience or accounting software equivalent

What You’ll Do
As the Lease Administrator, you will review and extract data from ground lease documents and enter it into Yardi, taking care to ensure accuracy and completeness of the data. Once entered, you will maintain leases over their life cycle, from initial onboarding through termination, including managing notices and processing renewals and amendments. Working closely with the other accounting teams, you will maintain accuracy of financial data and perform account reconciliations of tenant ledgers as necessary. As you grow in the role, you are encouraged to suggest innovations and process improvements.
You will report to the Lease Administration Manager and work out of the El Segundo Headquarters. This team values a willingness to learn and a conscientious work ethic and is open to providing additional training and support according to your needs and work style. They complete work in a timely manner through regular communication and updates, aiding each other as needed to keep the process moving forward. This is an excellent opportunity to expand your current understanding of lease administration, accounting, and real-estate as you work with diverse departments within the organization.

What You’ll Do
As an Acquisitions Specialist, you will pursue leads for potential investments and make first contact calls to share the opportunity our company offers. You will be gathering current information about real-estate assets, including contact information for the property owner or manager and keeping detailed notes in our database as you research and verify information. Once you have verified the lead, you will reach out to the asset owner or manager to introduce them to our company and interest them in a meeting with a Vice President of Acquisitions. In this inside sales support role, you will not have any sales responsibilities, but you will receive a bonus when we successfully acquire assets from meetings you arranged.
The Acquisitions Specialist team is lead by the Vice President of Sales Operations who values enthusiasm and communication from the team. They make a point to provide support as you grow into the role and develop your skills so you are soon able to participate in the team contests to earn bonuses and other incentives based on personal performance and department goals.
